Content Policy

Who can upload

• Only accounts with a confirmed email address can upload files. Guests can't upload.
• Accepted files: images (PNG, JPEG, GIF, WebP, BMP, ICO, SVG) and plain-text files used by Typst documents. Maximum 10 MB per file.

Everything is erased after 72 hours

• Content from regular (non-administrator) accounts is deleted automatically 72 hours after it was created. That includes documents, attachments, images and chat messages.
• Content that is waiting for moderation is kept until the review is finished.
• Don't use this site as storage. Keep your own copies.

Where your content is

Go to Dashboard:

• Library: your Typst documents and their attachments. If a document was rendered successfully, you'll also find a PDF and a preview of the last successful rendering.
• Gallery: every image you uploaded, in the Typst editor or in a chat. Click a thumbnail to view, rename, replace, download or delete it.

Who can see it

• Documents and attachments: only you, plus site administrators.
• Chat images belong to you, but anyone who can see the chat can see them: anyone with the link to a public chat, or the members of a private chat.
• Small thumbnails of your images are served from unlisted, hard-to-guess links. Full-size images and files are only shown to people allowed to see them.
• Administrators can see all content when they need to for moderation or legal reasons.

You are responsible for what you upload

• You keep ownership of your content, and you're responsible for it.
• Only upload what you have the right to share.
• You allow us to store, process (resize, re-encode, scan) and show your content to the people allowed to see it, for as long as it stays on the site.

Not allowed

• Anything that harms, exploits or endangers children. We report it to the authorities and keep the evidence.
• Adult-only material, and private photos or videos of a person shared without their consent.
• Shocking or violent images, threats, and anything that encourages people to hurt others or themselves.
• Harassment, bullying and hate speech.
• Other people's private information (addresses, phone numbers, documents) without their consent.
• Content that infringes copyright, trademarks or other rights.
• Malware, phishing, scams, spam, or files meant to attack the site or its users.
• Impersonation, and anything illegal.

Automated checks

• Uploaded images are re-encoded. Hidden metadata such as camera details and GPS location is removed.
• Uploads are scanned automatically. Files that fail the checks are rejected or held for review. Files that moderators already removed can't be uploaded again.

Reporting

• Use the Report button (⚑) on a message or image.
• Reported content is hidden immediately while it waits for an administrator. The administrator either restores it or removes it.
• Owners can't edit or delete content while it's under review.
• Misusing the report button can get your account suspended.
• You can also email abuse@kindofparadox.com.

Copyright (DMCA) notices

Send copyright notices to abuse@kindofparadox.com. Include:

1. the copyrighted work you believe is infringed;
2. where the material is on this site (a link, or the page and a description);
3. your name, address, phone number and email;
4. a statement that you believe in good faith the use isn't authorized by the owner, its agent or the law;
5. a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner;
6. your physical or electronic signature.

If your content was removed by mistake, you can send a counter-notice to the same address. Accounts of repeat infringers are closed.

Enforcement

We can remove any content and suspend any account at our discretion, with or without notice. Where the law requires it, we keep content and report it to the authorities.
